Bootstraps Abode

Welcome to Bootstraps Farm, home of Michael, Caroline,  and Luna.  We are a small scale organic vegetable farm located in northern Greenbrier County West Virginia.  We serve the Lewisburg, WV Farmers Market, which we co-founded in 2002, and also serve a handful of local restaurants.  The market is every Saturday 8:30am to 1pm from mid-April through October.  We are 100% organic and do not use black plastic mulch.  We grow a wide variety of vegetables, specializing in greens.

Our goal is to heal the planet and people through organic agriculture.  We strive to go beyond the USDA standards for organic production by using sustainable practices that conserve natural resources.  We make biodiesel for use in our cars, trucks, and tractor and use only OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) approved materials.  We choose to not pursue certification due to the cost and effort  and feel that the organic standards set by the USDA are not representative of our agricultural philosophy.
